Meet the winemaker Andreas Schumann from the Odinstal winery in the Rutz Zollhaus and enjoy a 4-course menu with great wine accompaniment.

 

The Odinstal winery was something very special right from the start. When entrepreneur Thomas Hensel took over the winery at the end of the 1990s, the business was in a desolate state. In addition, making wine at 350 meters above sea level and in the middle of the forest was a major challenge at the time.

Today, the estate has been lovingly restored and the location has turned into a real advantage in times of climate change. A unique variety of soils can be found on just 5 hectares. The wines are characterized by volcanic basalt, shell limestone, Keuper and red sandstone.

Odinstal is managed by Andreas Schumann, who is deeply rooted in Palatinate viticulture. He has consistently led the business into biodynamic viticulture and has thus developed an absolutely independent and unmistakable style with a high recognition value. Look forward to a wine evening with suckling pig “from nose to tail”, accompanied by exquisite wine.
